Bright colors and a curvacious visual appeal was spotted by WSGN Homebuildlife at Milan Furniture Fair 2014. Inspired by the homey feeling of a 50s, Smeg’s distinctive design and quality brings curvacious shapes to your kitchen.
We’ll see current kitchens being ripped apart to expose old natural beams, which look fantastic with stain or beeswax. New builds and designs will seek to build beams and tongue and groove into the walls and ceiling: An extra cost yes, but absolutely worth the finish it gives.
Outside kitchens, like the one below and the pool house kitchen in the cover picture are on the up. While they’ve been growing and have been popular in the United States, other countries have yet to pick up on the trend.
A neutral palette of muted gray and beige tones is accented by sophisticated furnishings. Warm wood, contemporary decor and a variety of modern chandeliers can be found throughout the interiors.
